How taking the time to relax can lead to unbelievable success in your business.

Discussing taking the time for yourself & rest is crucial when it comes to wellness for many reasons. It’s a cornerstone issue for many.

The first reason it’s so important is that rest and sleep affect us on so many levels. When we initially think of rest, we tend to think of sleep. And sleep is one of the biggest health challenges that people in our culture face today.

Life happens. We get sick or worse we have a symptom that flares up and puts us on our backs or in the hospital. Who likes bed rest or surgery? No one!!

I remember after I had my third child he didn’t sleep for a whole year. Finally, the day came where he hit the wall and started sleeping. I was so excited to sleep! But I couldn’t!

WTFFFF!

Adrenals sapped

Cortisol high

Hormones whacked

I couldn’t fall asleep till 3 or 5 in the morning.

I also started Crossfit and you would think those workouts would knock you out lol.

Even though I was so happy and loving life I was exhausted. I thought it was ok to just keep on pushing and burn the candle at both ends.

I went to see multiple sleep doctors and hormone doctors to try to figure out the root cause.

I received a few tips like taking melatonin and nature walks. all great things but still not what I needed to heal the root cause.

Many people suffer from insomnia but are unaware of it. Chronic insomnia can lead to other problems such as fatigue, headache, anxiety, depression, etc.

Sleep is important for the body to rest and recoup. Every person has different sleep requirements, but at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep is a must.

On the internal layer, the element of Rest is about self-care. Rest means downtime, slowing down, taking time for enjoyment or hobbies or restful activities. It’s about things we can do to release stress and rest our bodies, calm our bodies and our minds.

Self-care is an important wellness topic today.

Questions to consider:

  • Do you feel burned out or frayed around the edges most of the time?

  • How much time do you spend caring for yourself?

  • Do you resist self-care and if so, why?

Now how can you take the time to create a habit of recharging your mind, body and soul so oyu can feel excited, inspired and full of energy to tackle your goals!!
